Our Shifting Process
Step-by-step guide to hassle-free relocation with VRL International
Shifting Process – How Relocation Actually Happens at VRL
Most people think shifting starts on packing day. It doesn’t.
At VRL International
Movers, relocation usually starts much earlier, often with confusion, questions, and uncertainty. Our shifting
process is built to reduce that uncertainty, especially for international moves where there are more rules,
more paperwork, and more waiting involved.
We don’t rush the process. We steady it.

It Starts with Listening, Not Packing
Before boxes, before vehicles, before documents, there is a conversation.
We usually ask simple things first:
- where are you moving from?
- where are you going?
- when does it need to happen?
- what worries you most?
This may not sound technical, but it decides everything later. International relocation, in particular, becomes difficult when assumptions are made early. We prefer clarity, even if it takes more time.
Inspection Happens Quietly
Once details are shared, inspection follows. Sometimes physical. Sometimes virtual. Sometimes both.
During inspection, we notice things people often miss:
- items that look normal but are fragile
- furniture that won’t fit through doors easily
- goods that need special packing for customs
- volume that changes cost and shipping mode
Planning happens in the background. Customers don’t see spreadsheets or route charts, but they feel the effect later when things don’t go wrong.
Packing Is Not Treated as Routine Work
Packing day is where most mistakes happen in relocation. That’s why we slow down here.
Different items need different thinking:
- clothes are simple
- electronics are not
- artwork needs patience
- glass needs space
Materials are chosen accordingly:
- bubble wrap
- foam sheets
- corrugated boxes
- stretch film
- strong tape
- wooden crates, when required
Not everything is packed heavily. Not everything is packed lightly. Judgement matters more than speed.
Loading Is About Balance, Not Strength
Lifting is easy. Loading is not. Items are placed based on:
- weight
- shape
- delivery order
- travel distance
For international moves, this stage also involves deciding container use, air cargo, or sea freight. Shipping agents and logistics specialists coordinate documentation here, because once goods move, corrections are costly.
Transit Is Not Silent
Many moving companies go quiet once goods leave. We don’t.
During transit, updates are shared:
- dispatch confirmation
- movement status
- customs stages (international)
- expected delivery windows
People don’t need constant calls. They need reassurance that things are progressing.
Delivery Is Done Slowly on Purpose
At destination, unloading is never rushed.
- Boxes are placed room-wise.
- Furniture is positioned carefully.
- If reassembly is required, it is handled patiently.
Some customers unpack immediately. Some take time. We adjust.
Why This Process Works
This same process is used for:
- local packers and movers
- all-India shifting services
- international packers and movers
Distance changes logistics. It does not change discipline.
Customers often say they felt “less stressed” even though the move was big. That feedback comes from process, not promises.
Process Over Performance
VRL International Movers believes relocation is not a performance. It is a responsibility.
As a moving company, relocator, and relocation expert, our job is not just to move goods. It is to guide people through uncertainty.
That is what this process is built for.
